Welcome

Let me be your partner in your journey to health…

Jean’s “whole person” approach to mind/body fitness is fully client-focused. Everyone doesn’t want to be a body builder, but everyone does want to function to their best in their individual lives.

Certified tai chi and qigong instructor, Jean has a lifetime of experience in mindfulness, fitness, and all holistic practices. Jean’s background also includes a B.S.  in Communications and Environmental Science, and a string of published articles on a variety of subjects, including health issues.

Jean holds workshops, public speaking engagements and continuing classes in corporate settings, for community organizations, and in private and small- and large-group settings. She has provided instructional services, workshops,  and informational sessions for numerous local organizations including the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, MVP, Gilda’s Club, Central Library of Monroe County, Schottland YMCA, Jewish Community Center, St. John Fisher, Pittsford Spiegel Center, Compeer, and Thomson Reuters.

Jean believes that each of us holds the key to full and healthy mental and physical health, to be the best we can be, to share ourselves with others in a healthy way, and to be at peace with what life throws our way. It is through being present and aware of the life force within us and around us and that which connects us…  this is the most profound experience.

Some kind words from my personal training and tai chi students…

“Jean gives clear instructions, easy & association of movements with certain mental images.'”

“I appreciated the relaxed, informative, and thorough instructive style”

“Jean was very patient and gave excellent directions.”

“Jean was very clear on directions. She brought us along slowly but surely. I liked her calm demeanor and especially liked the beginning stretches.”

“The Tai Chi movements and music were soothing to my body and soul. Great way to end my busy week with this class. I was able to show some of the movements (although not perfect) to my coworkers, friends and family. As Jean mentioned ‘There is no wrong way.’ “

“The fluidity of it, such a lovely practice. Jean explained it very well… what movements do for various parts of the body/ organs.”

“Jean is thoughtful, considerate and takes the time to adapt to my individual needs. I’m over retirement age but feel 20 years younger since I began working with Jean. Everything seems to work again.” — Cecile

My father has been working with Jean and she has done a great job working with him and his limitations, it has been very beneficial for him. She has a calming personality and my father feels great after his strength-training workouts.–Shanna C.
